Job Title: Senior Associate, Relationship Management


Department: Strategic Partnership Group


Reports To: Senior Relationship Manager


FLSA Code: Exempt


Estimated Salary: $100,000 - $115,000


Job Summary:


The Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting the relationship manager(s) in all aspects of client engagements and in the execution of strategic goals for the Firm and the department. In this role, the Senior Associate will also work closely with colleagues in the strategic partnership group and wealth management, as well as other departments across the firm. Major Responsibilities/Activities:


  • Sub-advisory servicing
  • Client Service
  • Serve as main point of contact to external/internal distribution team in-bound questions
  • Responsible for participating in and contributing to department-wide projects and initiatives
  • Primary responsibility will be to work with senior relationship managers on raising and retaining assets at focus firms
  • Manage the QBR process for Strategic Partnerships Group in conjunction with CRM and FPA group
  • Work closely with Channel Marketing partners to prepare presentations, campaigns and other collateral to assist in the sales effort
  • Senior Leadership / Strategic Initiatives
  • Conduct research and develop supporting content for Strategic Partnership Group business plans, strategy presentations and business updates/reviews for Senior Executives
  • Live the core values of Cohen & Steers and serve as an ambassador of the firm to external constituencies
  • Collaborate and build internal partnerships with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Investments, Ops and others
  • Assist in utilization and maintenance of CRM system
  • Organize meetings, calls, and pre-meeting prep for Portfolio Managers and internal teams
  • Work closely with CRM/Data Quality and Channel Marketing partners to better segment Strategic Partnerships Group clients for digital marketing automation
  • Facilitate and liaison for data requests, RFPs, 15c, reoccurring compliance/operational questionnaires, due-diligence processes and responses to inbound questions
  • Maintain current marketing materials in 4U in coordination with marketing team
  • Digital Marketing / Sales
  • Create timely responses for deliverables as follow-ups to meetings
  • Develop and refine sales acumen and process mechanics to directly support the external business development effort
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and channel marketing partners to organize a coordinated digital outreach plan for smaller firms
  • Analyze client research, asset allocators’ activity, and manager lineups through investor databases (e.g., Morningstar) and industry trade publications (e.g., Fundfire, Ignites, FUSE, Dakota)
  • From time to time, assist with Wealth business wide initiatives that align to strategic business goals
  • Track and maintain Strategic Partnerships pipeline in conjunction with relationship managers
  • Maintain internal reporting to senior leadership


Minimum Requirements:


  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Knowledge of the institutional asset management business and/or mutual fund industry
  • Series 7 and Series 63 licenses (can attain after joining C&S)
  • Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives
  • Experience in sales
  • Bachelor degree from an accredited college
  • Knowledge of real asset investments/private real estate is a plus
  • Skilled use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in deadline driven environment
  • 2+ years of related experience required or strong internship experience
