Senior Accountant

Dallas, TX - Hybrid/99% Remote (onsite 2-3 days/month)

One of Vaco's telecom + infrastructure clients is on the hunt for a Senior Accountant to help scale the accounting functions for a rapidly growing organization (just secured $1B+ capital investment, highly acquisitive growth track.) Senior Accountants will be supporting the ME close process and A-Z accounting with a particular emphasis on inventory, project accounting, purchase orders, procure-to-pay and materials.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Manage journal entries, vendor invoices, and reconcile balance sheet accounts for monthly or annual closing
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls
• Assist in income statement account variance explanation compared to prior month and forecast
• Support Accounts Payables and ensure accurate and timely entry into the accounting system and payment
• Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting, etc.)
• Setup automatic entries and book manual entries in line with US GAAP
• Perform all actions needed to close monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Assist in monthly cash projection and Capex reconciliation
• Ensure inventory is properly captured and allocated
• Assist in the preparation of the annual audit

Requirements:

• Experience working with various systems, including but not limited to Dynamics 365, SAP, Concur and/or Blackline
• Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
• In-depth knowledge of Accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP.
• General ledger and related reconciliation experience.
• Active CPA or CPA eligible strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive, relevant experience.
• Intermediate MS Excel background.
