Job Summary:
Key position in a high performance work team responsible for the integrity of business unit specific financial information related to payroll and benefit costs. Actively collaborates with various internal functions and departments as well as 3rd party vendors. This position is the key focal point for all business unit internal and external payroll related audits.
How You Can Be the Impact:
- Execute accounting for U.S. Benefit reserves and International Accounting Standard Nineteen (IAS19) Pension accounting.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations.
- Key resource for payroll projects related to Accounting and eTIME, including data requests to analyze salary and benefit expenses.
- Maintain and/or develop process flow and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents related to reconciliation activities.
- Key point of contact for all internal and external payroll and benefits financial audits.
- Manage other miscellaneous ad hoc projects related to payroll/benefit accounting.
- Participate as a key project team member related to implementation of business unit specific activities for payroll and accounting.
- Provide guidance to other team members regarding timely and accurate completion of all monthly and quarterly account reconcilations.
- Execute accounting routines required to complete monthly and quarterly financial closings for Payroll and Benefits in the U.S. and Canada.
- Understand and maintain internal controls to verify the accuracy of financial results.
- Manage general ledger module in payroll system.
What Matters to SABIC
- SAP experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Accounting
- Minimum of 5 years of working experience, preferably in Payroll and Benefit accounting
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the desire to be proactively involved in continuous improvement activities
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including v-lookup and pivot tables required
- Experience with ADP eTIME and GlobalView preferred

Work Availability
Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday – Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
