Summary
The F&B Attendant contributes to the hotel's commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork and must be the kind of person who appreciates high standards of excellence. The attendant creates an experience for our hotel guests by offering them a larger than home experience with welcoming, helpful and exceptional service, while maintaining a clean, comfortable and inviting environment. The F&B Attendant will provide service in the Grab and Go Market located in the lobby of the hotel. The attendant will prepare beverages in accordance with menu standards and provide a welcoming and clean environment for guests.
Job Duties & Expectations:
- Take food and drink orders and deliver to guest room if necessary.
- Works in a supportive and flexible manner with other departments in line with our purpose.
- Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships.
- Prepare, set up, stock, take down, clean and provide quality beverages and food products, adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
- Ensures the delivery of brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times.
- Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
- Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotation stock.
- Works closely with other employees in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
- Responsible for food service set up and break down.
- Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
- Provides excellent service to guests and internal customers in other departments as appropriate.
- Ensures that brand standards have been implemented.
- Restock any necessary items during service hours.
- Support the hotels target for NPS and customer service.
- Support the implementation of our purpose, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s values, Hyatt regency guiding principle and leadership profile.
- Follow safe food handling and service practices at all times.
- Fully conversant with all aspects of the Infrasys System.
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all Food and Beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives.
- Bus tables or retrieve trays and/or carts from guest rooms.
- Maintains par stocks of all equipment and guest supplies as required.
- Responsible for the sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
- Performs the function of cashier as required.
- Ensure food is stored at correct temperature.
- Responds to the results of the brand standard Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented.
- Complete prep in advance as required by supervisor,
- Strictly adheres to all policies and procedures issued by the Finance with regard to cashiering and cash handling.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.00
Qualifications
- Refined verbal communication skills
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 25 pounds)
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
