Here’s what you will do…
The Sales Optimization Consultant is responsible for supporting sales service scheduling of Quality Specialist, Merchandising, Account Managers, Brand Team, Category Management and Delivery; producing sales services and route-related insights and reporting; and acts as a backup to the Sales Optimization Manager as required. This support role focuses on optimizing service and sales service routing time and manpower efficiencies by collaborating with North and South Texas hometown Sales teams. This role is part of the Sales Enablement team.
Here’s more of what you will do...
Sales Service and Routing Optimization and Reporting
Compiles data-based insights and informs the Hometown Sales teams of sales service inefficiencies (i.e., Unscheduled Deliveries, Voided Orders, Late Orders, Case Minimums, etc.) that allows the Sales team to take action on service needs and optimize scheduled processes in support of Customer Service Excellence.
- POS Compliance violations for Hometown Sales VPs KPI reporting.
- GoSpotCheck/FORM Market X for Hometown Sales VPs KPI reporting - Andrews Way mission scores.
- Creates meeting invites with Sales Managers and assists the Sales Optimization Manager with the sales team review of proposed reroute and captures notes and changes.
- Produces, updates, and distributes a variety of sales service route-related summaries and reports in support of business and sales operations on a weekly and monthly basis.
- Complies, summarizes, and distributes monthly reports for:
- Compiles and distributes weekly summaries and reports for:
- Maintains the Late Order report and Transmitted Order Report as required.
- Cases per Stop for Hometown Sales VPs - reviews periodically eoStar data using PowerBI.
- Safety Scores - Collaborates with Safety SME for Hometown Sales VP KPI reporting. Maintains email distribution data for auto-generated Operations reports.
- Profitable Deliveries – Analyzes and creates opportunities for orders below the minimum case/revenue threshold.
- Builds Merchandising-related training as needed in collaboration with the Learning and Development and Hometown Sales teams.
- GoSpotCheck/FORM Market X - Merchandiser Compliance for OOS Mission and KPI reports for Hometown Sales VPs.
- GoSpotCheck/FORM Market X – build missions.
- Performs routine data audits in a variety of systems to ensure data integrity for reports and summaries being produced.
Data Administration
Performs data administration for routing-related systems and processes in support of meeting/exceeding established service levels and optimizing efficiencies in our retail accounts.
- Maintains distribution lists of missions in GoSpotCheck.
- Updates the users for the Wise Update Application.
- Acts as BrewView Administrator for the Merchandising section.
- Maintains the Key Account Manager Schedules within eoStar.
- Maintains Large Format LFSO and Non LFSO (LF&M3LF), Liquor, and Convenience (C-store) merchandising schedules.
- Continuously audits data in routing-related systems to ensure data integrity and availability.
Routing Support
Supports the Sales Optimization Manager in developing and deploying routing assignments and schedules for all Hometown Operations teams.
- Creates new route scenarios for any reroute to be reviewed with the Sales Optimization Manager.
- Creates routing scenarios for any sales and or delivery needs.
- Acts as back-up to the Sales Optimization Manager for route planning and deployment.
- Stays up to date on routing technology and trends.
- Creates routing assignments for new customers added for the Quality Specialist and On Premise Account Managers.
- Meets with Sales and/or Delivery teams to finalize routes with the Sales Optimization Manager.
- Completes miscellaneous routing tasks as required (i.e., Routing of KAMs, Category Managers and Routing for Brand Manager’s needs).
This list is not all inclusive of other tasks and subtasks that may be necessary in performing this role, but rather an overview of the role’s primary work tasks.
Here’s what you must have to be considered for this role…
- Proven Technical Aptitude; Ability to Learn New Technologies and Acquire Technical Skills
- Previous Supply Chain/Logistics, Distribution Business and/or Sales Experience
- Strong Analytical Skills
- High School Graduate with Some Business, Marketing or Other Related Field College Education
- Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Continual hand/wrist motion is required to operate computers and office machinery.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and twist is required for filing and general office duties.
- Ability to use a personal computer for tasks such as communicating via email and preparing reports and other forms of documentation using company and industry software.
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Ability to perform job functions in compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety policies and best practices.
- Hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation skills are necessary to operate computers and various office equipment.
- Ability to maintain a sustained posture in a seated position for prolonged periods of time and operate computer equipment.
- Ability to speak, hear, and see is required to communicate with employees, and to operate computers and office machinery.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or negligible amount frequently to move office-related items or materials.
