As a Sales Manager in our brewery, you will be responsible for leading and managing our sales team to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets. You will develop and implement sales strategies, establish strong relationships with retailers and potential distributors in the future, and actively promote our brewery's products to customers. The Sales Manager plays a crucial role in expanding our market presence and ensuring the continued success of our brand.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to penetrate and expand into those markets.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to stay updated on industry trends and customer preferences.
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.
Set sales targets and goals for the team and monitor their progress.
Provide coaching, guidance, and support to the sales team to enhance their performance and sales skills.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement necessary corrective actions.
Customer Relations:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Negotiate and manage distributor contracts and agreements in the future for when we are ready.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including bars, restaurants, retailers, and other potential clients.
Conduct regular meetings and visits with customers to understand their needs and address any concerns.
Sales and Marketing Activities:
Develop and execute sales and marketing plans to promote the brewery's products.
Coordinate with the marketing agency to create compelling promotional materials and campaigns.
Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to represent the brewery and generate leads.
Monitor sales performance and market trends, providing insights and recommendations to optimize sales strategies.
Reporting and Analysis:
Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts, analyzing sales data and identifying areas for improvement.
Provide accurate sales projections and reports to senior management.
Monitor and manage sales budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role, preferably in the beverage industry or brewery.
Sales and Leadership Skills:
Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving targets.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with distributors, customers, and stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge:In-depth knowledge of the craft beer industry, including an understanding of brewing processes, beer styles, and industry trends.
Familiarity with the 3-tier regulations and licensing requirements.
Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Ability to interpret sales data and market trends to drive strategic decision-making.
Travel:
Willingness to travel frequently to meet with customers, and attend industry events.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
