Job Description
Cognitiv leverages deep learning artificial intelligence to build custom algorithms that more accurately and efficiently predict consumer purchase behavior. Each marketer has a unique set of goals, which is why Cognitiv created NeuralMind, a deep learning platform capable of automatically building custom algorithms that simultaneously consider the user, the context, the message, and the campaign objectives. We combine deterministic data and advanced processing techniques to continuously train these algorithms as they optimize our clients’ key performance indicators (KPIs), predicting consumer behavior in order to autonomously drive full-funnel marketing performance at scale.


We are looking for a Sales RVP, West to join our sales team! The successful candidate is a self-starter, solid leader and mentor, seasoned professional who can identify real opportunities with a flair for a conversational, consultative approach to sales at the highest levels - at both brand direct and agency levels.


This position will be a remote based position, but due to travel for sales events the candidate must be located on the West Coast in order to be considered.


Core Responsibilities


  • Strategically build business plans with revenue forecasting for yourself and the team
  • Take initiative with a clear business focus using an entrepreneurial approach
  • Multitask and prioritize across multiple priorities
  • Identify new opportunities and drive successful outcomes
  • Manage senior agency and brand direct relationships and drive strategic partnerships
  • Prospect, pitch and close business with brands and agencies
  • Collaborate with all internal stakeholders and departments to execute best in class campaigns
  • Evaluate problems and manage through to solution
  • Provide mentorship and ongoing coaching to the junior sales team
  • Manage and oversee the west region
  • Grow and develop a high performing sales team
Requirements


  • Experience working at a smaller company/start-up, is crucial
  • 2+ years of management experience
  • RTB/Programmatic and/or Ad Network sales expertise
  • Strong ability to be adaptive consistently, creative and scrappy at getting the job done
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated organizational aptitude/skills
  • Model exemplary Sales techniques
  • Intuitive with both Emotional and Intellectual Intelligence
  • 10+ years online Senior level Sales experience with a track record of exceeding quotas
  • Experience pitching a first to market portfolio of products and solutions
  • Strong existing network of relationships/contacts at Fortune 500 brands and their agencies
  • Strong relationships at key agencies and clients
  • Passion for startup culture and being a part of shaping the company
Preferred Qualifications


  • Performance media sales expertise a strong plus
  • Extensive knowledge of a mix of network, ad-tech/programmatic
Salary


  • 200-220 K base + equity
Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to job-related knowledge, level of relevant experience, education and skills.
