This job is REMOTE, but candidates must be local to train on site for the first 6-8 weeks.

Job Summary:
Responsible for facilitating access to the Eye Institute at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin for consulting/referring physicians. Accomplishes this by coordinating communication between consulting/referring physicians and MCW physicians. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, 3 of which should be in an acute care setting is required. Experience in a variety of clinical settings, including an academic medical center is preferred. Familiarity with the services offered at Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College of Wisconsin is preferred. Prior utilization management experience is preferred.

Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through completion of a minimum of two years education at an accredited School of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Interpersonal skills necessary to instruct and maintain effective contacts with a variety of hospital personnel. Analytical skills necessary to prepare statistical reports and develop solutions to problems concerning access to Froedtert & Medical College services.

Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).
