Position Overview
The Retail Analyst needs to be the voice of clients, stores and markets in the central organization for Home and Accessories. Ability to drive Home and Accessories business with qualitative and quantitative vision will be a key, in addition to effective cross-functional communication and relationship building and management with channels. The Retail Analyst supports the Director in managing sales merchandising aspect of Home and Accessories product categories, including but not limited to, the global product assortment strategy and allocation per typology, monitoring and ensuring inventory shipment on time for launch target dates and to support all channels to drive sales (Retail, Ecommerce, Global regions, TFB, etc).
Key Accountabilities
Build and execute H&A global assortment strategy
- Prepare and coordinate assortment overview with markets, consolidate regional feedbacks, formulate action plan and business strategy per market
- Maintain AA and ensure accuracy of assortment data in the system (AA, NPP) including product lifecycle, delivery, allocation, etc.
- Interact with Global Assortment Planning and CVM to plan out the zones/capacities per product category and maintain brand presentation standard in stores.
- Partner with Retail Excellence and Product Merchandising and establish product training and selling modules per season
- Monitor seasonal collection sizing across all product categories: newness, carryover, flags (T-flag, E-flag, V-flag, etc), end of life. Support Product Merchandising to formulate seasonal merchandising line plan with a strategic style/sku planning matrix
- Build assortment strategy per season, integrating brand, business, and collection strategy
- Build CVM strategy per typology/market/channel based on sku capacity
- Build assortment by cluster per typology/market/channel
- Assist in final edit of the seasonal assortment in partnership with Product Merchandising, sharing input based on account the historical sales and market opportunity
Drive business and support sales for all channels
- Build and share understanding of clients in collaboration with CRM and Hospitality team and identify opportunities in maximizing sales
- Collaborate with Demand Planning and Replenishment on monthly sales planning exercise. Anticipate risks and opportunities, challenge regions to achieve global targets goals
- Focus on TIFFANY.com as H&A’s #1 global flagship. Be responsible for the consistency of all customer-facing assets with the brand strategy: imagery, copy, styling, page organization, category organization, etc.
- Establish biweekly meetings with markets and deploy region-specific actions in collaboration with Demand Planning, Replenishment and Regional Retail Merchandisers
- Set up H&A calendar of events, promotions, commercial peaks and coordinate its implementation, from product brief to store execution
Set up launch strategy and coordinate the 360 degree support plan
- Follow launch / distribution plan and adjust strategy with all support departments when necessary
- Communicate H&A priorities to each cross functional teams (Demand Planning, Replenishment, PD/Sourcing, CVM, Marketing) before seasonal launch, prepare for a 360 degree launch package
- Build regular on-going communication with the regions to ensure alignment on H&A business priorities
Competitive analysis on global retail landscape and environment
- Partner with Product Merchandising and identify white space opportunity for H&A product categories/end use per market and channel
- Compile seasonal competitive analysis deck for in-store presentation by category, marketing activation, etc.
Qualifications
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet shifting deadlines
- Desire to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
- Comfort working in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment
- Bachelor's degree
- Positive, energetic attitude
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Preferred: previous merchandising, planning, or sales experience with fashion luxury brands (total +3 years or more); self-motivated with strong drive for achievement
- Analytical mindset, thinks strategically and demonstrates a desire to learn
- Advanced Excel skills and adaptability to new software and systems
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
