Responsibilities:


  • Design into concepts passed on by creative director into respective categories alongside team
  • Research, design and develop new hardware for bags and leather goods
  • Create technical sketches by hand and in illustrator for tech packs to be sent to factories for new product development
  • Organizing of accessory leather and material libraries, updating each season
  • Assist accessories team to research and refine seasonal concepts, select materials, and interpret color palette
  • Organize seasonal design binders and boards and update throughout season
  • Assist handbag designer in filling out style product cards, ensuring information is passed to manufacturers in a clear and organized manner
  • Ensuring that product made meets rag & bone standard of quality and finishing


Requirements: (skills, qualifications, education, etc)


  • Strong material and color sense
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in handbag design, or relevant internships
  • Technical Design understanding and application
  • Digital and hand sketching skills
  • Bachelors or Associate Design degree or equivalent required.
  • Understanding of upper contemporary market
  • Technical proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills are a must. Must know how to prioritize daily and ongoing tasks and be able to see 'bigger picture' of day to day.
