Job Description

JURA Bio is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Scientist to join our team. We are a preclinical biotech company focused on developing innovative cell therapies for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and other T-cell mediated diseases.

Responsibilities:

As a Research Scientist at JURA Bio, you will play a key role in our research efforts, working closely with our team to advance our platform of cell therapies. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and presenting results to the team. You will also contribute to the development of new research plans and proposals, and work closely with other team members to identify and troubleshoot potential issues.

The ideal candidate will have at least a Master's Degree (with work experience) or PhD in a relevant field such as immunology, cell biology, or biochemistry, and have experience working with primary blood monocytes or T/Treg/NK or macrophage in culture. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team, are essential for this role.

If you are passionate about advancing cutting-edge cell therapies and have a track record of success in research, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity at JURA Bio.

Requirements:

  1. A PhD or Masters (with work experience) in a relevant field such as immunology, cell biology, or biochemistry.
  2. Strong experience working with T/Treg/natural killer (NK)/macrophage cells, including the ability to isolate and culture cells.
  3. Proficiency in a variety of techniques commonly used to study immune cells, such as flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assays, and gene expression analysis.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret and analyze data.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ideally with a track record of publishing research in the field of immune cell biology.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently.
  7. Proficiency in computer programs and databases commonly used in scientific research.
  8. Ability to work in a laboratory setting and follow established safety protocols.

Salary:

$85K-$135K depending on level of experience, with bonuses and equity and benefits including 401(K), health/dental, 25 PTO days per annum, and generous parental/caregiver leave policies.

About JURA:

As an enthusiastic equal-opportunity employer, we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive work environment. We believe that a diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives is key to driving innovation and creativity, and we are dedicated to building a team that represents our best possible chance of driving our cell therapies forward into helping transform patient lives.
