Job Overview

The Private Capital Fund Performance Team is responsible for overseeing the collection, validation, analysis, and dissemination of Closed-Ended Fund Performance data. Therefore, ensuring Preqin’s

Platform provides great coverage of timely, quality and robust data on alternative assets.

In this role you will:

• Subject Matter Expert Extremely strong knowledge of the dataset and inner workings of the database and how this translates onto the platform. Enabling the associate to assist in a wide range of projects regarding Closed-Ended Fund Performance dataset.
• Contributing to ad-hoc projects across the team to help improve data coverage, quality and processes.
• Workflow Tools Understand various workflow tools that will be required to make various improvements to the performance datasets and our processes. Examples of these tools include Alteryx, SalesForce & Outreach.
• Dealing with incoming data requests and queries coming in from other departments of the business such as client services & sales.
• High Level Analysis Conducting high level analysis to help improve process and data coverage and quality. Handling incoming data requests and queries, particularly those more
• Content for Reports & Publications Producing content and overseeing the quality of analysis included within research reports, publications, blogs and presentations.
• Servicing Sales & Client Services Providing support to both Sales & Client Services team by stepping in on calls when required and fielding questions via JIRA and other workflow streams.
• Processes & Workflows Looking at ways that can help improve existing workflows to improve efficiency of processes or any improvement in the data.
• Conducting and contributing towards various pieces of analysis included within research reports, publications, blogs and presentations.
• Complex scenarios unable to be carried out by Client Services.
• Validating and logging performance data in accordance with Preqin’s reporting guidelines.
• Providing support to both Onshore and Offshore teams globally with queries and feedback regarding closed-ended performance profiles.
• Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of the closed-ended fund performance dataset by conducting various quality checks across profiles; data entry quality checks for offshore teams and systematic checks to identify potentially suspect figures.
• Regional POC for Closed-Ended Fund Performance Take responsibility as being the main point of contact for all Closed-Ended Performance related queries that arise within your assigned region.
• Conducting web-research to ensure accurate and timely data collection from online sources.

You are a good fit if:

• A proactive approach taking initiative to improve existing processes/workflows and suggest ideas to improve data coverage, quality and/or timeliness.
• A strong understanding of internal performance processes and workflows.
• Experience in contributing high quality content for research reports, publications and presentations.
• Experience in answering client data requests & queries.
• A strong understanding of performance reporting and the alternative assets industry.
• Exemplary past performance.
