Private Equity Valuations Analyst

Brand Name Asset Management Firm in NYC is looking for a Valuations Analyst to support their Private Equity Business!

The role will perform and review valuation modeling and analyses specifically related to private investments. The role will also work on portfolio analytics and reporting to provide insights to senior management, which entails analyses of trends and metrics across the entire portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Perform and review valuation analyses on a wide range of private equity, real estate, and structured credit positions

• Analyze financial models including discounted cash flows, market multiples and transaction approaches, option pricing analyses, PWERM, etc.

• Provide management with valuation updates and portfolio analytics

• Review pricing information and perform analysis across a broad range of financial instruments, including but not limited to private investments, exchange-traded securities and complex over-the-counter derivative contracts

• Prepare periodic reports and analysis to be presented to management and other key stakeholders

• Liaise with investment team to better understand and document rationale and evidence of fair value

• Assist the firm in developing and evaluating valuation processes and procedures

• Determine and track relevant model inputs and KPIs to assist in management and performance reporting

• Liaise with third party valuation service providers and auditors during their regular and ad hoc reviews of the private investment book
