• Lead negotiations on UBS’s financing efforts, with both buy-side investor and corporate / sponsor issuer clients
• Have and build relationships particularly with buy-side investor clients
• Manage and support the develop of junior investment bankers
• Work closely with UBS’s sector, leveraged finance and institutional sales force teams to achieve successful distribution of transactions
• Set strategy for our clients in how they approach syndicated financing efforts
• Lead syndication efforts for underwritten and best efforts leveraged loans and high yield bond processes to back a variety of use of proceeds
• Assist in structuring and risk-assessing new deal opportunities

You’ll be working in the Leveraged Capital Markets team in New York City. We provide high yield and leverage loan capital and advisory services to private equity firms and corporates in financing transactions which may include LBO, refinancing and recapitalization transactions. The team works alongside investment banking industry teams and the broader Leveraged Finance team to execute transactions. Additionally, the group works closely with the sales force to syndicate risk.

You have:

• Several years of prior Leveraged Capital Markets experience is preferred
• Knowledge of market data services like Bloomberg, Advantage Data, Markit and LCD News is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong excel and PowerPoint proficiency to quickly manipulate and clearly present data
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• Prior experience in an investment banking related role
• Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as contributor to multiple teams
