Job Description

Role: VP of Engineering

Location: Atlanta, Georgia

DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry-leading Medical Device company, known for the continuous production of lifesaving/life-changing products. With a successful track record in developing new medical products, this company is looking to expand its team with a VP of Engineering. Based in Atlanta, GA, this organization will provide an engaging dynamic combined with a fast-paced work environment.


The VP of Engineering will develop and implement the global engineering strategy for the organization and will cover all locations which would encompass all manufacturing, distribution, and sales centers in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.


In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with Regulatory group to deliver full design history files and registrations for sales in multiple jurisdictions and to update and maintain those records through the products’ life cycles.
  • Source and retain top-tier engineers; hire and mentor tech leaders; and provide career development, professional growth, and succession depth for engineers and managers.
  • Implement and maintain processes and metrics to ensure that the engineering organization is efficient and focused, and that products are market-ready.
  • Drive the execution of development efforts focused on growth (new products from new & existing platforms), cost reduction, yield, and product quality improvements.
  • Expand and utilize a network of external resources, experts, and services – including partner-suppliers, consultants, and academic collaborations- to supplement the work of internal staff.
  • Lead the development and implementation of effective engineering processes and systems in support of commercial and manufacturing operations for all products, including regulated medical devices.


The VP of Engineering should have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related field
  • Strong communication skills are a must for this position
  • Deep understanding of the technology & product development process, regulatory and quality requirements, especially within the Medical Device industry
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience in engineering/technical field with minimum 5 years with managerial and budgetary responsibilities
