Remote Chemistry/Biology?Programming Tutor

We at Griner Tutors are a small group of professionals all with years of teaching and tutoring experience and research and industry experience with a proven track record of publications in peer-reviewed journals having earned a MS or PhD (or the equivalent) in our niche field. Being a relatively new eTutoring Company, we have developed a unique tutoring approach that is always open to upgrades where we strive to do a bit more to help the student client with their test preparation, homework, or assignment needs, so the student client gets the most out of their tutoring session. We want every student client to leave every session having learned something, or perhaps gaining a much better understanding of the concept (or something) that they are having issues understanding for their undergraduate course and at the very least leaving the session more confident to ace their next test.

I am looking for an eTutor to fill one role Tutor of (Chemistry) where the candidate will tutor one hour sessions “based on the needs” of the student client via an integrated teaching platform. If you have expertise outside of Chemistry, especially Physics that would be a plus. The eTutor will be mostly tutoring Inorganic Chemistry and would probably be very basic for him or her. If you can tutor Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Physical Chemistry, that would be a plus too. I have developed and in the process of developing somewhat of a novel pedagogical framework for teaching, tutoring, or “micro-learning” where I am encouraging my tutors to use more of a Socratic approach and engage the student client in discourse so that the tutor can better address the issues that the student client is having and leave a positive impression on the client. You will not be an employee of Griner Tutor per se because I am currently a sole proprietor and you would be a 1099 independent contractor and I will see you as more of a business associate.

Not only am I looking for candidates to at least have a Master’s or graduate degree in their niche field, but I am looking for “producers” in that the candidate has perhaps multiple publications, research or industry experience culminating in a substantial body of work, whether it be (just the dissertation results that can be applied to something), discovery of something novel, patents, books, etc. The reason I am also looking for “producers” is because the company is relatively very new and ancillary companies and opportunities will become available as this primary company generates even more traction where collaboration with ideas/notions in education/business/research (both basic and applied) for putative companies, etc. with me and between other tutors in this company will be welcomed. In addition, I believe that the integrity of this company and brand awareness and development will be much more robust with the aforementioned, the professionalism that exudes from the company’s tutors will favor repeat clients, and referrals.

Right now, I am seeking 1 professional that can tutor Chemistry (Physics and Biology is a plus), especially inorganic chemistry and possibly Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry or (another) chemistry and I will pay special attention to candidates that based on their resume would be “producers “ and would consider you to be a very strong candidate. I am offering 10 – 20/ hours a week right now, but plan to have enough student clients come October for possible full-time work. and as of now like my current employees, you will be responsible for your taxes as everyone is 1099 now. However, I intend to offer fulltime hours as well as insurance, paid-time off, bonus, travel etc., when the company matures.
