Job Description

Summer Steps is an educational organization that provides learning opportunities for students and volunteer opportunities for tutors.


Responsibilities

  • Conducting practice tests and quizzes to assess student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Explaining complex scientific concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Providing constructive feedback and encouragement to motivate students in their scientific pursuits.
  • Collaborating with parents, teachers, and school administrators to ensure a comprehensive educational experience.
  • Monitoring student performance and tracking their academic progress.
  • Helping students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills related to scientific concepts.
  • Offering guidance and support in organizing study materials and developing effective study habits.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions
  • Assisting students in completing homework assignments, projects, and laboratory reports.


Qualifications

A student who is currently enrolled in an American High school (9th-12th grade)

Must have a 85 or above in science related courses
