Online Mathematics Tutor (Remote/Contract)

At Sharpe Sessions, we help students overcome their fear of math by changing the way they think about and approach math. We believe all students have the potential to excel at math with the right resources. We provide helpful training and tutor resourcesand a place for growthfor our tutors.

There are 4 virtual tutoring positions available. We are looking for tutors who are driven and have a passion to serve and help students succeed. We are looking for tutors who are meets the following:

• Rate: $20 - $25 per hour based on experience.
• Local background required.
• Available Monday - Friday 3:00PM EST - 8:00PM EST and or Saturdays 9:00am EST - 5:00PM EST.
• Strong mathematics background required.
• A minimum of 10 hours per week is preferred.

Responsibilities

Tutors will meet with each student twice per week for one hour. Tutors will be responsible for submitting session recaps after each session to tutor admin. Tutor may occasionally need to develop and present content tailored to the needs of their students.

Qualifications

• 1 year Online math tutoring experience preferred.
• Bachelor's of Mathematics or related area (can be in progress).
• Proficiency in one or more of the following math areas is preferred: 4th and 5th grade (elementary school), 6th grade to 8th grade (middle school), 9th grade to 12th grade (high school).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
