Summer Steps is an educational organization that provides learning opportunities for students and volunteer opportunities for tutors.

Providing one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions

Explaining complex scientific concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

Help students develop study skills, such as time management and note taking.

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Framingham, MA 01701

Develop and implement individualized lesson plans for students.

Assess student's progress and provide feedback to students and parents.

Provide guidance on test taking strategies and techniques.

Explain concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Participate in education programs for developing teaching techniques and skills

Complete data entry tasks using required database software (Canvas, Microsoft Teams, Moodle, Excel)

Tutor specific nursing subjects to individuals or small groups

Monitor students’ attendance and progress

Document and communicate student progress

Refer students to Director of Nursing:

Preparation of materials and equipment prior to class.

Dismantling lab upon completion; cleaning, sterilizing, organizing, storing etc.

Maintain clean working conditions in prep room, labs, classrooms including restocking shelves and drawers.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Develop resources focusing on writing skills and facilitate workshops

Maintain up-to-date records of student appointments through an online intake system

Assist with promoting Writing Center services to increase awareness of the services provided

Perform other duties as assigned
