This individual will report to the Vice President of Sales - Americas. As Regional Manager, you will be responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the regional network of retailer operations. The role is based in the NYC-Metro Area and will support the dealership network and ensure best business practices. This role is the man point of contact for the dealership in all commercial related functions. This person will consult with the dealerships to ensure that customer, wholesale, retail and brand objectives are achieved.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Review, recommend, and manage dealer marketing requests for co-op budget, fleet vehicles, and personnel support.
- Cooperate with VP Marketing and CRM role to determine the data / CRM / Customer Journey strategy at each dealer.
- In partnership with the America’s Marketing team, drive inspirational marketing activation plans by quarter to generate exposure, demand, and loyalization for the respective local markets.
- In alignment with Marketing team, review and investigate any dealer marketing guideline infractions and determine consequences.
- Support, develop and drive sales results (customer order, allocation, wholesale & retail) with assigned retailers to meet corporate business objectives.
- Develop strong commercial relationships with Retailer senior management, staff, and investors to ensure they are fully aligned with McLaren business and brand strategy.
- Performance-manage assigned retailers in sales and marketing activities with the effective use of KPI’s, as well as competitive and market data.
- Coach and develop retailer staff in line with McLaren requirements to deliver an exceptional McLaren customer experience.
- Champion and lead the effective utilisation of Retailer CRM systems.
- Develop and implement action plans, in cooperation with retailers, to correct any deficiencies.
- Leverage monthly dealer financial statements as well as yearly dealer audit results in alignment with Network Development to drive performance and dealer profitability.
- Collaborate with individual dealers to develop robust marketing plans that positively impact overall goals and objectives.
- Partner with the Regional Aftersales Manager to jointly manage performance and customer experience while leveraging potential synergies.
- Review relevant marketing communications with the dealer and take feedback or requests to the internal teams.
- Act as the main communications link between the dealer and the national Marketing team.
- Provide guidance to the Marketing team and dealership in aspects of major events at the dealer level.
- Drive retailer’s pre-owned business as well as the effective usage of the McLaren certified pre-owned programme.
- Develop Retailers to effectively utilise the "McLaren CSAT" system to monitor and improve customer sentiment.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree.
- Well-developed negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to bring creative ideas, solutions and translate them into actions.
- Proven skills to analyse dealer representation in the marketplace.
- Strong leadership and communications skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership.
- Demonstrable experience of commercial, cultural and financial awareness.
- Detail oriented with excellent project management and organizational skill set.
- Experienced leader of sales and marketing teams within the automotive industry.
- Strategic thinker who can build long term & robust business plans.
- Self-motivated, creative and structured problem-solving ability.
- Decisive and able to make tough business decisions.
- Minimum of 7+ years’ experience in automotive OEM sales.
- Clear understanding of the business objectives.
