The Senior Director, Clinical Educators (East) will build and lead a team of Clinical Educators to help successfully support the launch of our emerging skin cancer portfolio.
The Senior Director, Clinical Educators will report to the Executive Director of Multi-Channel and Customer Engagement Marketing and is a field-based role. A key element of this role is to help ensure we maintain a clear, patient focused culture that values people, passion and performance.
This person will be a key leader within the commercial organization and will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, Training & Development, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, Legal, and Compliance.
A high level of emphasis will be placed on elevating confidence in the RP1 injection process and helping to create a positive first experience for the patient and all relevant stakeholders.
This is a Field Based position. Candidates must be located in the eastern half of the United States.
The Senior Director, Clinical Educators is responsible for building and sustaining a high-performing and diverse team of experienced oncology Nursing Professionals (or other healthcare professionals) who will be focusing on:
- Delivering unbranded disease awareness education
- Educating the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on the role of Tumor Directed Oncolytic Immunotherapy (TDOI)
- Create and maintain relationships with local MDT KOL (Nursing, APP, etc.)
- Partner with Local ONS chapiter to support educational initiatives
- Educating and creating comfort with intertumoral RP1 administration with key stakeholders
- Supporting the identification & management of adverse events

The ideal candidate will have a background in Oncology Nursing or related experiences and prior experience in building out a Clinical Educator Team/Nurse Educator Team in a similar sized or larger biotechnology organization (ideally within the skin cancer space), with an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to play a hands-on role in supporting launch excellence.
Role Responsibilities
- Ensure strong collaboration and alignment across customer facing teams
- Design, build and implement a high performing and diverse team of Clinical Educators
- Develop KPIs with tools and measures to assure transparency and success
- Provide key input on the company culture and approach
- Be an active contributor into the annual business/brand planning process
- Identify, develop and lead opportunities for key strategic partnerships with relevant societies and conferences to support insight generation, educational outreach and strong external collaboration
- Maintaining a compliant, patient-centric approach in everything we do
- Prepare key deliverables for appropriate internal stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Passionate about providing a first-rate customer experience to internal & external customers; strong ability to communicate with a data driven focus
- Strong time management skills including the ability to multi-task on various projects and to prioritize under fixed schedules and in high pressure situations
- Minimum of 5+ years of pharma/biotech or related experience with at least 10 years of experience in Oncology; skin cancer and/or PD1 experience preferred
- A minimum of 5 years+ of people leadership experience, with a preference towards experience in Oncology
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; graduate degree a plus
