Hiring Manager: Brittany McCullough, Managing Director of Growth & Operations
- Training and supporting teacher leadership, and
- Organizing educators who share a common vision of equity and excellence in schools,
- Advocating for teacher-led recommendations at all levels of government, within teachers’ unions, and in the public conversation around education.
- Strategize, write, and edit high-quality grant proposals and reports.
- Own the execution of portfolio activities, including:
- Support chapter leaders in front-line fundraising activities by preparing meeting materials, donor research, and ghostwriting correspondence.
- Keep abreast of local content, context, and philanthropic trends and contribute to team and portfolio decision-making.
- Consistently identify, research, and qualify new prospects for the portfolio.
- Manage all administrative tasks related to the portfolio, including data entry, grant agreement review, cash collection, and financial and other compliance activities.
- Track, manage, and prioritize donor stewardship activities.
- Develop and execute consistent communication touchpoints with partners.
- Build strong relationships across designated chapters and national teams to support the execution of portfolio fundraising activities; work closely with organizer specialists as identified to advance fundraising activities and cross-functional collaboration.
- In close partnership with the development & growth team leadership and local Executive Directors in Chicago and Minnesota, contribute to the vision-setting, design, and implementation of strategy for applicable chapter donor portfolio stewardship and growth.
- Coordinate site visits and special events, as needed.
- Collaborate with development leadership and chapter leaders to develop high-level cultivation plans to meet ambitious fundraising goals for each partner.
- Set and model high standards of performance and individual outputs as a team leader.
- Lead and project manage various initiatives that will support fundraising efforts across #onedevteam cohort
- Facilitate learning sessions on chapter fundraising efforts and other relevant projects as needed within the Growth team, across the development cohort, in Town Halls, and with additional staff.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a diverse, inclusive, solutions-oriented, high-trust team and organizational culture.
- Passion and commitment to E4E’s mission; experience working on issues relevant to our work.
- 3-5 years of fundraising or related experience at increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experience fundraising in one of the portfolio communities preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills, high level of efficiency, and ability to manage operations and multiple projects at one time with precision.
- Comfort and fluency with SalesForce, G-suite, Slack, and presentation formats like Powerpoint preferred.
- Ability to produce and deliver clear, concise, formal and informal oral and written communications to a variety of audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must be willing to work long hours when needed to reach fundraising deadlines.
- Must be able to work occasional weekends and evenings for fundraising and programmatic events and other priorities.
- Time will be divided between office meetings with staff within the organization and self-directed execution of tasks.

- General knowledge of one or more of the portfolio’s geographic regions preferred.
- Fluency in education policy and political landscape preferred; alternatively, demonstrated capacity to quickly learn and deploy this nuanced content.
- Based on NYC cost of labor and adjusted for candidates in different geographic regions.
