Job Description

We are partnering with Riser Fitness to help them identify a Head of People to build and lead all people operations for the company, including recruiting, training and development, compensation analysis, benefits, organizational planning, and culture.


Riser Fitness is one of the fastest growing boutique fitness operators in the US, with state of the art facilities in Oregon, Washington and California. We were founded in (please confirm year) with a single studio in Orange County, California and we're now the 2nd largest operator of Club Pilates Studios nationwide. The Company is well-capitalized and is embarking on an aggressive growth strategy that will encompass significant expansion throughout the United States over the next three years.


This role means wearing many different hats and requires an experienced leader who is ready to sit on our leadership team and take on the exciting challenge of building out a critical function within a fast-paced, high-growth startup. The Head of People will be, with the support of the leadership team, the driving force behind Riser Fitness’ employee experience. They will have a passion for building world-class teams while facilitating environments that allow people to do their best work. The Head of People will be an instrumental business partner in the continued growth of Riser Fitness through the creation and execution of thoughtful and agile people-focused strategies and initiatives to ensure that Riser Fitness is attracting, developing, and retaining high-quality talent to fuel the expansion of the brand. We have a phenomenal foundation and are now entering the next phase of growth. This role will report to the Managing Director.


EXPERIENCE

• Proven success rising through the ranks of high-growth, early and mid-stage organizations known for their focus on exceptional employee experience, talent, trust and customer loyalty. 7+ years of experience with at least 2 years managing all functional areas of the talent and people departments.

• Proven ability to create and execute programs that attract, develop and retain outstanding talent with data to support success.

• Proven ability to translate organizational and business priorities into people initiatives with metrics to support and track success.

• Experience creating and implementing pragmatic and business-focused HR related programs and initiatives

. • Experience building and implementing HR systems from the ground up.

• Demonstrated success with driving employee engagement and culture.

• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.

• Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in human resources

. • Demonstrated experience in change management best practices.

• Ability to bring immediate credibility to the people function through professional qualifications, experience, leadership, and the highest levels of integrity.

• Experience in leading and managing remote teams.

• Bachelor’s degree required – Master’s degree preferred. • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred.
