Job Description
The Regional Distribution Manager will develop, implement and execute the account plans for target regional distributors to drive profitable growth. They will build strong relationships with distributor’s key leadership at the corporate and the branch level. The Regional Distribution Manager will act as the distributor liaison for the regional commercial and residential segment sales teams to ensure distribution is supporting the regional segment strategies.
The Regional Distribution Manager will also be responsible for analyzing account performance metrics and identify trends and opportunities. The ideal candidate for this position will be located in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR.
Job Responsibilities
  • Management of Distribution programs and process: Works with regional segment teams on special pricing authorizations. Ensures distribution alignment with Pro-Level requirements and evaluates adding or closing distribution based on customer segment needs.
  • Analyze account performance and identify opportunities. Manages local inventory and order logistics to ensure appropriate stocking levels to support the business and planned growth and new products. Assist the regional sales director with demand forecast for target distributors.
  • Preferred location: Seattle, WA or Portland, OR
  • Develops and executes strategic account plans with regional target distributors that will focus on best opportunities for profitable growth. Conducts quarterly updates.
  • Builds relationships and trains distribution leadership and front line teams (outside sales, insides sales, counter sales, estimation and quotations departments) on Uponor product and services. Ensures all contact information is updated in SFDC.
  • Works closely with National Accounts Manager – Wholesale to ensure alignment with FEI, Hajoca and Winsupply and builds strong regional relationships with the national accounts.
  • Seeks out opportunities to contribute to the business success through proactive involvement in team initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree coupled with 10+ years direct industry experience, or equivalent experience; including prior Sales Management experience.
  • Ability to thrive and work in a team environment.
  • A self-starter with strong independent work skills, prioritizing activities, understanding opportunity costs.
  • Extensive travel required.
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership ability.
  • Good understanding of legal process and contract law pertaining to purchase / distribution agreements.
  • Proven experience with construction trade, homebuilders, plumbing contractors, manufacturers representatives, and wholesale distribution.
  • Sound technical understanding of plumbing.
  • Demonstrated finance competence.
  • Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills.
