About The Role


Dyson Americas is looking for a senior executive to drive its strategy and transformation process. She/he will formulate overall strategy, drive innovation, lead various strategic initiatives, be responsible for delivering digital capabilities and globalize Dyson Americas’ digital best practices as the forefront of digitalization. This is a key role within the Americas leadership team; the new leader will be responsible for defining and updating the midterm and long-term strategy of Dyson across USA, Canada, Mexico and LATAM. The role reports to the Regional President, Dyson Americas and will form part of the regional Leadership team.


Accountabilities-


  • Nurturing a team with a strong strategic mindset operating in a collaborative manner within the organization
  • Taking the lead on critical projects related to the transformation of the business
  • Work closely with the regional president for Americas and wider Leadership team to review and shape compelling strategies that are aligned with the overall global strategy
  • Building effective working relationships with the broader organization in Americas and Dyson globally
  • Management of the Program office, with tracking and reporting on the progress of various strategic initiatives against strategic priorities
  • Being involved as part of the global team in further shaping the corporate transformation and contributing holistically on a range of business issues as they arise

  • Strategic Orientation: she/he will have a track record of setting a strategic direction that accomplishes immediate and long-range objectives, combining strategic thought leadership and analytical strength with the ability to transition with ease from strategic recommendation to operational rigor. She/he is skilled in drawing conclusions and making recommendations from data.

  • Proven track record of successful strategy management and corporate transformation experience (e.g. restructuring, digital/e-commerce M&A/integration, new business)
  • Corporate strategy role inside a large company
  • Relevant scope, scale and complexity with a similar global business
  • Team Leadership: She/he will create a sense of team identity and empower their team to perform independently and to pursue continuous self-development, contributing to a team spirit of excitement and positive motivation where people feel emotionally committed to the team and the company, not just the task. They will consider collective competencies in developing the team so that the collective will be stronger than its parts, and they will focus on bringing out individual and team strengths and maximizing potential.
  • Strategy consulting at a top tier firm
  • Ownership and parallel execution of multiple large scale strategic initiatives–Experience using project and portfolio management methodologies
  • P&L awareness and management: strong financial acumen and ability to pivot strategy to balance operational success whilst maintaining focus on strategic transformation.
  • Retail or Consumer facing products
  • Collaboration and Influencing Skills: Collaborative, low ego and agile in style, she/he can influence and engage a diverse group of stakeholders, including commercial and creative audiences, while building and maintaining strong relationships. An outstanding communicator, she/he is effective in energizing an organization, serving as a strong spokesperson for the company and a valued partner.
