Real Estate Credit Asset Management

Job description

Our client is an asset manager with over $15bn in assets under management, looking to hire an associate to join the credit asset management efforts.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the role include:

• On a quarterly basis, prepare asset summary reports and underwrite property values as necessary.
• Monitor the performance of portfolio of assets for potential adverse credit issues.
• For those investments that include ground-up construction or significant renovation/alteration projects, actively monitor the progress of the work against the budget and underwritten assumptions.
• Review and analyze monthly and/or quarterly financial statements and rent rolls.
• Keep up with national, regional and local market dynamics and tenant credit risks and concentrations.
• Evaluate and make recommendations for draw requests, lease approvals, loan modifications, releases of collateral and or guarantors and various other borrower requests.
• Participate in prospective and existing investor meetings to present insight into portfolio performance.

Qualifications

• Team Player with collaborative and strong relationship building skills
• Strong quantitative aptitude with a high attention to detail
• 1-4 years of experience in a real estate debt role
• Excellent academic credentials, Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably within a finance, economics or real estate related discipline
