R&D Senior Scientist, Food Culture Capabilities

Overview

Significant investment has been made in Food capabilities to enable the Global R&D Food Culture Agenda with goals to transform the organization underpinning our pep+ Positive Choices agenda to expand our portfolio to provide more consumer choice with products that are better for planet or people.

Responsibilities

• Project management, chartering, measures of success, tracking, presenting, engagement with partners.
• Understand, design and apply insights from consumer research to drive human centricity.
• End-to-end capability tool creation, evolution, promotion and communication.
• Partner with external experts/ providers to leverage outside perspectives and best practices to ensure PepsiCo’s approaches are industry leading.
• Contribute R&D input into the enterprise wide initiatives through influencing and collaborating with cross functional teams.
• Execution of capability workstreams, including delivering the work through others.
• Lead workstreams to create new and evolve existing Food Culture framework, tools, best practices and organizational initiatives.
• Lead, design and execute key food culture initiatives at Global and or Regional level.

Qualifications

• Highly creative, motivated, passionate individual with solid project management and people skills.
• Able to present projects and enroll people to a vision.
• Results oriented, strong verbal and written communication skills to influence partners, ability to articulate fact based information into simple actions.
• Able to communicate new ideas and disruptive concepts to customers as well as internal employees.
• Education in Chemistry, Food Science, or related discipline
• Flexible and comfortable with change; ability to balance need to deliver aggressive business innovation goals with excellence.
• Highly creative and collaborative working style with a global perspective and cultural appreciation.
• Understanding of broader business drivers with ability to demonstrate business acumen and experience partnering with senior business leaders across key functional areas both inside and outside of R&D organization.#Plano,Texas
• Ability to operationalize long term strategies into short term capabilities – balance between local requirements and global reapplication.
• 3+ years of professional industry experience.
