About this position:

We are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of various applications through comprehensive testing and automation. You'll collaborate across teams, use tools like Jira and Xray, and need skills in Confluence, Jira, Unix, SQL, communication, and SDLC knowledge. This role involves diverse tasks in a fast-paced environment and may include training.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Develop test plans, test cases, test scripts and test reports for various applications based on business requirements

Develop test automation scripts.

Must be familiar with API test automation with tools

Perform test automation using tools like Selenium, Xray

Perform functional testing on various business components, modules and functionalities.

Perform other testing aspects such as system testing, regression testing, integration testing

Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.

Review and analyze user requirement documents in tools such as JIRA.

Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups

Document the entire quality assurance testing process in test management tools such as Xray, Jira and communicate the test results to the team constantly.

Work with other functional Testers and non-functional testers and collaborate with project manager, developers, business analysts and representatives from business units throughout the testing process.

Participate in the user stories review meeting, project sync up meeting and other meetings as required.

Required Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent experience/combined education

Clearance: MUST be fully adjudicated & maintain a Top Security clearance.

1 to 2 years of experience in crafting test automation scripts using programming languages such as Java or Python.

2 to 3 years of involvement in Test Automation and utilization of Test Management Tools like Selenium and Xray.

Knowledgeable about API Testing utilizing tools like Postman, RestAssured, and SoapUI.

Proficient in using Git for version control of code.

Proficient in working with JIRA for tracking requirements and reporting defects.

Basic proficiency in UNIX command-line operations, and SQL for data validation within databases

Experience with Cross-Browser Testing to ensure browser compatibility.

Possesses strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for debugging purposes.

Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Proficiency in managing Test Data: both generating and effectively utilizing it.

Capable of working independently, meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment.

Exceptional communication skills. Must exhibit keen attention to detail, possess strong organizational abilities, and excel at multitasking. Proficient in Microsoft products such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project and SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

Security+ certification

Familiarity with foundational Web Technologies including HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.

Familiarity with Performance Tools like JMeter.

Knowledge of Previous experience working with DoD systems, showcasing familiarity with defense-related projects and security requirements.

Familiarity with CI/CD integration using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.

Experience working with and supporting Agile development teams and DevSecOps environments, showcasing adaptability and collaboration in fast-paced development setups.
