Purchasing Manager Jobs

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, or Engineering with Supply Chain Management Experience required

Years of Experience:

· 5 years of Purchasing, with high value negotiations

· 3 years of management of an indirect material crib

Other Requirements:

· Work beyond the traditional 40 hours per week may be required as work load or projects dictate, including weekends and holidays

· Cooperate within teams to carry out tasks and responsibilities

· Valid Driver’s License for business related travel (50%)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Research potential sources, solicit proposals, analyse data and make appropriate sourcing recommendations

· Identify opportunities to leverage volumes on selected MRO commodities to obtain the lowest total cost of materials and services

· Manage supplier cost improvement efforts and work with the manufacturing sites to reduce Carlex’s overall cost of doing business

· Actively participate in local and company-wide negotiations

· Develop and monitor supplier performance to metrics

· Support collection and maintenance of supplier performance metrics

· Recommend suppliers for qualification and / or disqualification based upon quality performance

· Lead VA/VE activities for indirect suppliers at Carlex Fabrication sites as well as VA/VE’s conducted at supplier locations

· Collect and analyse data on plant volumes and spend

· Direct management of Crib Supervisor(s)

· Develop, lead, and track performance to KPIs for Indirect Purchasing and Crib staff

· Interface and assist with capital and tooling acquisitions

· Maintain compliance with purchasing policies and procedures

· Travel to other Carlex facilities and suppliers as required
