Project Manager, New Restaurant Openings ( Ihop)

This role is a key member of the IHOP Strategic Operations and Training Team. This position which reports to the Director, Field Training will lead the design and implementation of project tools and processes supporting IHOP’s robust NRO calendar. We’re searching for a highly qualified project manager to lead a cross-functional team consisting of leaders from our Development, Legal, Strategic Operations, Training, IT, Marketing, and Field Operations teams.

The right person for this role is a proven leader with experience influencing change and procedure across an organization. Excellent communication skills, experience with developing and overseeing work plans, and the ability to creatively solve problems to achieve organizational results, are critical for this position.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of IHOP’s procedures and product standards
• Performs other responsibilities as needed.
• Identify risks to project time timelines and work with department leaders to mitigate those risks for an on-time opening
• Partner with and develop strong working relationships with all cross-functional partners and project stakeholders to ensure delivery of the best possible opening experience
• Coordinates cross-functional reviews and approvals for all processes and procedures
• Follows company policies, upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner respectful of others.
• Leads new restaurant openings from inception to completion through process, project, scheduling, and communication management
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the NRO processes, evaluating the successes and opportunities of each project from a process, cost, and quality perspective
• Prepare and present regular updates to Department and IHOP Executive leadership

Skills & Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to be flexible with change and help manage change
• Strong individual contributor. Self-starter who possesses exceptional time management skills and has great attention to detail.
• Proficient in planning and organizing – forward thinking to establish an efficient and appropriate course of action in a fast-paced environment
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail
• PMP Certification and New Restaurant Opening development experience is preferred.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule to lead and manage projects
• Salary Range $90,000-$100,000
• Good communication skills; demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with business leaders
• Ability to effectively multi-task, managing multiple projects at different points in their lifecycles
• Must act independently and be self-motivated. Prioritizes, manages, and meets deadlines.
