Vuori is building our Retail Operations team in the San Diego, CA area. We are currently seeking a New Store Opening (NSO) – Coordinator to join our collaborative team and play a pivotal role in the expansion of our physical retail stores. The NSO Coordinator reports to the Director of Community and Training and works cross-functionally with a diverse group of stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be an initiative-taker, results driven, entrepreneurial, and have 2+ years in retail operations experience (store, warehouse, or office). The candidate will be able to prioritize, multi-task and maximize productivity in a fast paced and evolving environment while maintaining elevated levels of efficiency, organization, and attention to detail. The role will consistently manage stakeholder expectations and other store operational needs as they arise.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Partner with retail departments to adjust product as needed for new store styles and standards
- Update the warehouse VM inventory sheet weekly, and maintain stock levels of visual items (reorder as needed)
- Manage inventory levels and partner with cross functional HQ team to reorder as needed
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the retail warehouse
- Manage and coordinate the flow of VM collateral for NSO and existing stores (to and from stores)
- Organize, audit, and maintain mannequin levels in partnership with VM team
- Audit and update NSO packing lists for each store delivery
- Accept marketing deliveries from various vendors and allocate to NSO and other stores, as needed
- Keep up to date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
- Assist pulling, organizing, and shipping retail marketing promo for new and existing stores as needed
- Lead retail special projects, as needed
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
- Accept deliveries/schedule shipments to/from vendors for Store Operations, Marketing, Visual Merchandising (VM), and IT
- Partner with wholesale/brand team for NSO collateral
- Work with NSO managers to coordinate travel for retail personnel attending new store projects
- Manage store operation supplies for NSO and current stores, as needed
- Coordinate and accept NSO return of excess inventory across all retail departments
- Coordinate NSO truck arrival times and organize and prepack NSO trucks with pack lists provided
- Lead New Store Opening (NSO) logistics process with our fixture vendor(s)
- Strong organizational and analytical skills to drive continual improvement
- Ability to work with autonomy in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- High diligence: ability to juggle many priorities and manage execution
- Travel 5-10%, when needed for new store openings and deliveries
- Able to deal with ambiguity and overcome obstacles that may arise during projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Creative analytical person able to quickly identify and resolve issues
- 2+ years of related work experience, including retail and warehouse/inventory management
- Intermediate PC skills with knowledge MS Office, MS Excel skill preferred
- Clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate material handling equipment as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in warehouse environment on concrete flooring in varying temperatures
Pay Range:$48,000 - $56,000
