We are seeking a Project Manager to join our support services team providing application development and design teams to maintain ongoing production needs as well as create new website offerings and related digital platforms.
What You'll Be Doing:
The Project Manager will manage administrative and deliverable-related aspects of project requests in close coordination with the COR and project team including resourcing and assisting in the project activities of off-site staff, ensuring through on-site and off-site work to successfully deliver all of the project requirements and goals, including but not limited to:
- Meets with the Application Development Team and content contributors to develop and discuss strategies and plans for web products, analyze web content needs, and propose ways the web products can address those needs
- Facilitates matrixed Agile and Scrum teams to ensure collaboration between on and off-site personnel and seamless integration with personnel to share the knowledge and information that translates to cohesive and on-target work that meets the project and client's needs and objectives
- Manages stakeholder relationships on behalf of the project team, including gathering project requirements, facilitating prioritization and decision-making processes, and routine project communications
- Creates process and project documentation in collaboration with project teams
- Assists in building a strong technical foundation in build, release, and production using continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and infrastructure provisioning tools such as Ansible
- Will use best practices to support product planning and product development process, including backlog grooming and road mapping
- Provides training on a variety of systems development methodologies, best practices, and tools along with an insight into new technologies and solutions that could help the Application Team and the Bureau at large, and
- Collaborates with the client on the design, development, and data teams to build valuable tools that benefit the day-to-day operations and broader missions
- Assists in the development of Use Cases, Requirements Definition Documents, User and Administration Manuals, Detailed Design Specifications, and Training Manuals and Plans
- Performs administration to Red Hat-based and CentOS-based systems and Apache-based and nginx-based web servers to include troubleshooting, monitoring, and proactive problem fixing and documentation
- Provides software development, continuous integration, software delivery, systems administration, software quality, and systems documentation support to digital assets, including the agency’s public-facing website, as well as internal software tools
- Assists with configuration, usage, and monitoring of cloud-based infrastructure services including but not limited to AWS EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Elastic Container Service, and DevOps Support Services 6 CloudFormation
- Engages with various agency personnel to understand requirements in order to develop better software and identify new ways in which the development team can easily solve issues
Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Must be able to promote a positive environment that promotes individual development and high-performance standards
- Ability to provide timely, efficient, and effective communication
- Experience leading project teams and facilitating project delivery
- Ability to provide exceptional oral, written, and open communications to clients, teams, and stakeholders
- Experience leading IT project teams and facilitating people care of teams
- Must have experience managing large-scale projects by balancing scope, time, cost, and quality
- A Bachelors Degree is required with five years of project management experience, including 1 year of project management in the IT services industry, OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree with a combined 5 years of experience in project management, including1 year of project management in the IT services industry
