Project Manager - Electrical Construction

We are a fast-growing electrical contractor located in East Bay seeking an estimator / project manager. Our work consists primarily of commercial tenant improvements, light industrial projects, and high-end residential work. The position will include the following:

1. Pre-bid job site visits to analyze site conditions that will affect estimates

2. Reading plans and creating an estimate using Accubid Anywhere.

3. Creating exclusions and clarifications that will be included in bid

4. Creating materials lists for projects and sending them to suppliers for quote

5. Creating fixture and distribution RFQs to suppliers

6. Creating submittal packages for suppliers and clients

7. Managing on-site production by answering technician questions and interacting with client

8. Create project budget and schedule using tools like MS Project

9. Monitoring job for cost overages

10. Drafting change orders for submission to client

Projects range from $100K to $2M in size.

Prior experience in electrical construction highly preferred, especially a strong knowledge of electrical code and installation methods. Candidates who are engineers are also encouraged to apply.
