Project Manager - Consulting

This role is fully remote (anywhere in the continental U.S.).

The Management Consultant provides strategic, unbiased, and objective advisory services that assist organizations in solving complex problems, enhancing efficiency, and improving overall performance through:

• Developing effective recommendations for improvement along with actionable plans for enhancing the organization or solving the organization’s challenge(s).
• Performing in-depth analysis and strategic assessments across an organization’s people, processes, and technology
• Providing implementation support through process improvements, organizational change, mentoring/training/coaching, performance management, and other services.

Advisory expertise of a Management Consultant includes areas such as:

• Software Feasibility Assessments and Systems Analysis
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Organizational Analysis
• Program Planning Roadmaps
• Project Oversight, IV&V Services, and PMO Support
• Schedule IV-B Planning and Development

• Market Research and Assessments
• Financial Analysis
• Enterprise Assessments

• Business Process Mapping and Analysis
• Strategic Planning
• Deliverable and Report Content Development
• Industry Benchmarking

Essential functions and responsibilities of a Management Consultant include:

• Assist in developing solutions, processes, methodologies, and policies to address business problems.
• Communicate, escalate, and effectively resolve business questions and issues.
• Perform industry research, market assessments, benchmark analysis, SWOT analysis, risk assessments, and other assessment methods to compare and analyze an organization’s people, process, and technology resources.
• Identify recommendations, options, and alternatives for consideration.
• Aid in conceptualizing business problems, analyzing underlying causes, identifying driving factors and assessing their impact.
• Assist in gathering and understanding client business problems and needs through meetings, interviews, document reviews and other data collection methods.
• Synthesize complex sets of quantitative and qualitative data and information to help solve problems.
• Facilitate effective meetings, presentations, and workshops internally and with client stakeholders.
• Review work products for accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment.
• Assist in the development, writing, and production of deliverables, business reports, memos, white papers, presentations, and other written materials.

Required Qualifications:

• Preference for candidates with previous Big 4 employment.
• Must be comfortable working in the eastern time zone.
• Ability to travel occasionally (project kick-offs or major milestones) – though this role is primarily remote
• Preference for candidates with Public Sector experience.
• Bachelor's degree in business or field related to business management, quality, accounting, or other business-related fields.
• Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in professional services, providing management or advisory consulting.
