Authentise Inc. (a group of ~20 in 3 countries looking to disrupt the way products are engineered and made) are looking for someone to work with us to oversee the successful implementation and execution of a new multi-million dollar contract. The role will require a hybrid of project management and customer success skills.
You will be an experienced and/or strong project co-ordinator, able to work with multiple stakeholders to negotiate the successful delivery of a relatively complex project, reporting directly to our Head of Customer Success & Product. You will have a background in delivering training and support to customers, ideally in a manufacturing or engineering industry, as well as providing excellent customer service. This project spans the US and as such, you will be required to travel and be away from home for significant periods of time throughout.
The purpose of this role is to:
- Project manage a multi-million dollar project with multiple stakeholders
- Train users on the use of the software required during the project
- Support the wider Customer Success team by providing training, technical support, product design etc as part of the full development cycle
- Take product leadership of one of the products being delivered
Experience Requirements:
- Experience working with customers to understand their needs, dealing with issues and keeping in touch to see if new developments are suitable for their organisation.
- Evidence of working on complex projects and programmes, ideally involving broad-based engineering practices
- You will have interests that stretch from design to user experience, but mostly will thrive in delighting customers
- Experience training users on an individual and small group setting, adjusting your style to their needs to ensure effective knowledge transfer
- Understanding of resource and time management within a Project Management environment
- 2+ years experience of project management of complex projects, including reporting, project management and stakeholder management
Skill Requirements:
- Able to use own initiative, be proactive and work independently as well as being able to collaborate within a small, tight-knit team
- Excellent software skills, with a strong understanding of full MS Office Suite and Google Workspace and the ability to pick up new software with ease
- Comfortable with significant travel to meet client / customer needs.
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Honesty and a straight-forward attitude are key, with an ability to negotiate effectively to ensure the best possible outcome for all stakeholders
- Strong ability to give attention to detail, as well as tested organisational skills (you must be able to keep track of tasks and deadlines)
- Client / Customer management experience
- Highly articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication to ensure a clear translation of business requirements into functional outcomes
Nice to have:
- Composite Manufacturing Experience
- Experience with web app development process
- Experience working on (US) government projects
The perfect candidate will be someone who understands how software can improve the human side of engineering and manufacturing. You will be open minded, enjoy discussing new ideas with people and be keen to build out your business development experience in general (though you may not have any existing experience). You will enjoy thinking about new technologies, especially in the manufacturing area.
Ideally you will be a US person (US citizen or Greencard holder), based in the US.
You will be paid an annual bonus between 20-30%, based on attainment of the project objectives and the product success for the products you manage. These KPIs will be clear and documented prior to you commencing the role.
Note: We may be small, but we take our commitment to a diverse workplace really seriously and measure our success rigorously. Diversity of thought, background and action makes us better so you would be doing us a favour by applying if you consider yourself from a diverse background even if you don't quite hit all the requirements above. Maybe add a short note. And if you have any feedback about how we could change our outreach, positioning, or requirements to attract more diverse talent, we would be delighted to hear from you.
