Job Description

What will you do:

  • Lead the design and implementation of quality systems and related software as the business need arise.
  • Ensure deadlines and deliverables, are delivered on time, completely as directled and as needed to created the intended value.
  • Track progress on ingredient approvals
  • Develop sustainable quality processes as business needs arise
  • Initiate and maintain an organic plan and contract documentation.
  • Create, maintain, and update Nutrify-related quality policies and procedures
  • Manage complex systems accurately, timely and consistely.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders, customers, plants and technical service to resolve product specification differences and negotiate solutions that meet corporate goals for products that fall out of specification.
  • Work with suppliers to gather information through annual information-gathering processes and ad hoc business needs.
  • Develop and implement quality programs to meet business needs
  • Manage the supplier setup approval process.
  • Conduct verification and maintenance of the supply chain and supplier quality systems, hazard analysis and sanitation processes, prerequisite programs, manufacturing processes, plant environment and finished product as needed.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Define new processes, and ways to improve and harmonize on how information is gathered and used.
  • Perform FSVP supplier reviews as needed.
  • Support buyers in quality-related processes and reporting.
  • Monitor receiving activities and plant support needs around ingredients using internal and external regulatory standards as needed and act as a liaison for the business to help resolved issues as they arise in real time.
  • Ensure proper ingredient documentation is filed and up to date
  • Ensure proper supplier documentation is filed and up to date
  • Function as the lead communicator between Nutrify and TWG Quality for policy creation and updates, ingredient analysis, and items that arise related to ingredients on-site
  • Enhance the effectiveness of reporting and feedback between Nutrify and internal and external customers
  • Perform facility inspections and audits as required
  • Manage the supplier monitoring process.

Qualifications needed:

  • Expertise in Import/Export regulations
  • High sense of accountability and follow-through
  • Flexibility to changing priorities
  • Strong skills related to documentation filing and tracking
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally
  • Deep understanding of regulatory compliance requirements
  • Applicable expertise in food and feed safety regulations and certifications
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Ability to understand and work within a purchasing organization by understanding the main components of each area in the company
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Requirements:

  • Background in feed and food safety programs
  • 10+ years of experience in a feed quality role
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Background in feed and ingredient quality
  • Educational background in animal nutrition, chemistry, food or manufacturing preferred
  • Experience in managing ISO related food safety programs
