Project Accountant Jobs

Description: South Hills commercial construction company is seeking a full-time Project Accountant to provide administrative support for various size construction projects from inception through completion.

Responsibilities: The role would include the following, but not limited to:

• Monitor and invoice Time and Material projects.
• Create a Schedule of Values based on the job budget.
• Submit invoices to architects/owners.
• Provide all backup and supporting documentation for Construction Management and Design Build projects.
• Create AIA Change Orders to send to Owners.
• Collect and submit Certified Payrolls and Steel Certifications, if required.
• Write Change Order letters and supply a Schedule of Values Breakout to owners. Input approved Change Orders into job costing. Send Change Orders to subcontractors.
• Invoicing and understanding Lump Sum Contracts, Construction Management Contracts and Design Build Contracts.
• Meet routinely with Project Managers to invoice projects.
• Utilize job costing software (Computer Ease) to set up budgets based on estimating proposal.

Requirements:

• Strong multi-tasking stills
• Working knowledge of Computer Ease or another construction management software helpful
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Skilled in math
• Experience with a general contractor or subcontractor required
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and in a team setting
• Ability to maintain high job standards and detail orientation in a fast-paced environment
• Highly motivated, energetic, ethical, organized, and friendly
