Project Development Accountant Jobs

Vaco is working with an industry leading developer that is looking for a Project Development Accountant in South Philadelphia. Ideal candidates will have several years of industry experience including hands on working knowledge of WIP and AIA accounting procedures. This is a great opportunity to join a very large development project going on in the Philadelphia area that will have a lot of involvement with high profile industry vendors and well-known customers.

Duties will include:

• Work closely with project managers to ensure that projects are completed within budget and on time.
• Manage all financial aspects of construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare and submit AIA billing documents to clients, ensuring that all billing is accurate and timely.
• Monitoring the accuracy and timeliness of contractor payments.
• Work in collaboration with various Controllers on projects.
• Managing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time.
• Strong journal entry, reconciliation, and associated month end close experience.
• Ensure that all project costs are accurately tracked and recorded in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management, providing detailed analysis of project performance.
• Review and analysis of Job Costs for Internal and External Jobs and oversees job cost reporting.
• Coordinates daily workflow between the Construction and Development teams and the Accounting Department.
• Collaboration with External Auditors with information and support for audits.
• Review and understand contracts with sub-contractors.
• Maintain established internal controls procedures.

We are looking for someone with strong Excel skills and experience with Acumantica and or Yardi. Current CPA certification a plus but not required. Ideal candidates will be able to work on their own and as part of a team and will hopefully share in the vision of all Senior Financial Leaders in the company, which will be explained during the interview process.
