Job Description
Job Responsibilities


  • Performing direct child advocacy as the court appointed Guardian ad Litem when there is an inadequate pool of volunteers to serve in this capacity.
  • Providing assistance with the preparation for court and court reports and attending hearings with volunteers as required and appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate child and case specific information in the ETO database
  • Assigning volunteers to children in cases of child abuse/neglect; providing supervision and support to volunteers to ensure compliance with law, policy and program's objectives regarding the best interest of the children.
  • Assisting with the coordination of volunteer appreciation and program awareness events
  • Coordinating the receipt of monthly monitoring reports (MMR) and inputs data into the ETO database while maintaining a tracking system of monthly monitoring reports received
  • Assisting with training new and existing volunteers according to program guidelines. as well as recruiting a diverse and sufficient pool of volunteers so that all cases can be assigned to a volunteer and maintain policy guidelines regarding case assignments to staff and volunteers.
  • Completing any special assignments or tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Performing administrative functions for the county office that promote effective and efficient achievement of program goals and objectives.


Minimum And Additional Requirements


A high school diploma and relevant experience is required.


Additional Requirements


  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers, co-workers and partner agencies.
  • Position may require employee to work evenings and weekends
  • Position may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion concerning confidential information and case management.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to train and supervise volunteers.
  • Position requires frequent lifting 25 lbs
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks, prioritize scheduling and organization required.
  • Position may require overnight travel
  • Position requires routine driver duties
  • Knowledge of computer applications and data entry.


Preferred Qualifications


A bachelor's degree and relevant experience is preferred.
