Job Description
Company Overview: Our client is a leading construction company specializing in commercial and residential projects in the Greenville, SC area. With a strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our team. : As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful completion of construction projects from inception to completion. You will work closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are executed efficiently, within budget, and meet quality standards. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks will be essential in contributing to project success.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the project team to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
  • Prepare and distribute project reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements to streamline project management activities.
  • Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, track expenses, and review change orders to ensure project profitability.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits.
  • Assist in conducting site visits, inspections, and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, evaluating bids, and preparing purchase orders.
  • Support the coordination of project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation of meeting outcomes.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, construction trends, and relevant regulations.


Qualifications:


  • Knowledge of construction project management processes, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in an assistant project management role.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and safety practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
