Company Overview: Our client is a leading construction company specializing in commercial and residential projects in the Greenville, SC area. With a strong commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction, we are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to exciting projects and gain valuable experience in the construction industry.
- Collaborate with the project team to resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
- Prepare and distribute project reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence to internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and implement process enhancements to streamline project management activities.
- Assist in maintaining positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, organizing, and managing construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track expenses, and review change orders to ensure project profitability.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and permits.
- Assist in conducting site visits, inspections, and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
- Support the procurement process by obtaining quotes, evaluating bids, and preparing purchase orders.
- Support the coordination of project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and documentation of meeting outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, construction trends, and relevant regulations.
- Knowledge of construction project management processes, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Procore, or Microsoft Project.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with project teams and stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
- Self-motivated and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in an assistant project management role.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing project needs and work in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Familiarity with construction codes, regulations, and safety practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
