Program Assistant Jobs

Overview:
The newly constituted Africa World Initiative seeks a program assistant to provide high level administrative support to the director, staff, 4-5 postdoctoral associates and faculty. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the academic, teaching and research efforts sponsored by AW. This includes, but is not limited to, updating PeopleSoft, planning and organizing travel, maintaining program schedules, ordering equipment and supplies, processing expenses, providing administrative support for grant proposals, assisting in academic and teaching duties, and preparing necessary correspondence. The position will also support the respective research hubs and various AW programs.
Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the Director; staff, postdocs, and faculty
Maintaining PeopleSoft, planning and organizing travel, maintaining program schedules; office equipment and supplies; expense processing
Assistance with correspondences, administrative support for grant proposals; logistical assistance for program events and publicity
support AW social media (twitter, instagram, facebook, linkedin) presence and updates
Qualifications:
Social media skills and experience
Digital Graphic design skills and experience
