- Responsible for the performance and development of a crew of Production Technicians.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Responsible to qualify for, and act as, an Incident Commander for the Emergency Response Team Mobilizes quickly without acting impulsively, showing good judgment.
- Acts on one\'s ow n initiative while coordinating actions with direction from the Day Supervisor and/or Production Superintendent.
- Develops and maintains effective relationships with Team Members and other departments to facilitate cooperation in meeting department objectives.
- Works independently and under conditions of high interdependency.
- Knows and understands production limits and works with Team Members to operate at those limits, producing urea, nitric acid and UAN in an efficient manner while maintaining full EHS compliance.
- Works closely and maintains good relationships with the Superintendent, Day Supervisor, and other Production Supervisors.
- Embraces safety and environmental stewardship as a core value of leadership and works positively to influence site EHS culture. Coaches and leads team members in a manner that ensures their attitudes and actions reflect this core value.
- Develops and implements operational plans to execute maintenance activities safely and effectively, including turnarounds.
- Directs and/or recommends necessary changes to plant processes, equipment, procedures, or staffing to meet department objectives.
- Monitors plant operating conditions and takes necessary corrective actions to meet department objectives while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Maintains effective operational programs in safety, EHS compliance, personnel development, and asset utilization.
- Participates in maintaining an effective and ongoing training and development program for Technicians to achieve the competence level required to meet present and future needs.
- A minimum of 3+ years\' experience on a control board of one of the plants in the upgrade area is strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to work extended or modified work schedules as needed.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
- A positive attitude, with demonstrated willingness and ability to follow established policies and procedures.
- Effective leadership and people skills, along with time management and organizational skills.
- Is technically competent with the technology on each plant as listed in the position description.
- Physical capability, availability, willingness, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, PI ProcessBook, and DeltaV software.
