Product Release Coordinator Jobs

As a Product Release Coordinator on the Product Marketing team, your main goal is to ensure that software releases are clearly communicated to both internal and external audiences. You'll manage our bi-weekly product releases and work closely with the Engineering, QA, Product, Support, Marketing, and Sales teams. Your role is pivotal in bridging these departments, particularly when preparing release notes and other communications.

Your responsibilities extend beyond just managing releases. You'll also act as a customer advocate, making sure each release improves the user experience. Continuous improvement is key, and you'll be responsible for refining our product release processes and enhancing user communications over time.

For success in this role, you should have technical product knowledge, understand the user journey, be a strong writer and storyteller, possess strong communication and project management skills, be skilled in stakeholder management, have analytical abilities, and pay careful attention to detail.

What You'll Do

• External release demos: Host regular release office hours on platforms like Discord/YouTube, showcasing and discussing new features and updates.
• Feedback analysis & synthesis: Analyze user feedback post-release to guide future product developments and release strategies.
• Internal communication: Serve as the main point of contact for internal teams. Ensure all departments, including support, sales, and marketing, are well-informed and prepared for each release.
• Content creation and management: Oversee the production of content for releases. This includes updating the changelog, crafting messaging for email release roundups, and building in-app notifications. Additionally, ensure the Help Center is kept up-to-date.
• Release management and coordination: Manage the bi-weekly release schedule. Coordinate with engineering, QA, and product teams on final release and supporting documentation.
• Continuous improvement: Test and adopt new strategies for communicating releases, like in-app pop-up modals or guided tour highlights. Innovate the release processes based on user feedback and data insights.
