Job Details

We’re Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too — driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good– you’ve come to the right place!

Role

Product Owner is a traditional Agile Development role. Product Owners (PO)s are responsible for the successful delivery of completed work products by an agile development team, generating a positive return on investment for the business.

In office (Atlanta, GA, Dallas, TX or Indianapolis, IN) expectations are 10 days a quarter to support customers and/or collaborate with their teams.

Responsibilities

  • Works with delivery teams to focus on work completion according to business objectives and sprint goals
  • Responsible for continually building business intimacy through user research, interviews, user shadowing, market research, and data analysis.
  • Translate the product manager’s strategy into practical tasks and works with cross-functional agile teams to implement those requirements.
  • Shields the engineering team from distraction by acting as the main point of contact for the delivery team to the users and the business
  • Demonstrates new features and enhancements to business leaders and users; Incorporates feedback into future development sprints
  • Breaks down epics to write user stories in the user’s voice in the smallest possible increment, with clear acceptance criteria, according to agreed-upon conditions with the engineering team and architects
  • Defines business problems with a focus on user insight and experience to create the right solution to solve needs, not just taking orders of what the business wants the team to build. Ideally, it optimizes solutions to fit a wide range of business needs by collaborating with the engineering team to propose solutions back to the business
  • Defines the sprint plan, prioritizes the sprint backlog, and adapts based on changing circumstances
  • Represents users in delivery teams by thoroughly understanding user needs, difficulties, and problem statements.

Requirements/Experience
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal), including:
  • Present confidently to large groups
  • Knowledge of working with Product Centric / Agile planning tools
  • Take an empathetic approach by knowing the audience and tailoring the approach accordingly
  • Concisely communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Product Owner Certification
  • Develop widely consumed written deliverables
  • Experience managing features through the full product lifecycle
  • A related technical degree required
  • 1- 2 years combined experience as a Product Owner and/or Business Analyst

Preferred Requirements/Experience

  • PMP, and/or Agile Certification
  • Working knowledge of integrations using Salesforce
  • Salesforce.com Admin and/or developer certifications
  • One year working with Salesforce or with Salesforce Products
