Job Description
Overview:

Footlocker Inc is currently recruiting a Product Manager whose responsibility is leading the agile development of digital products by setting the vision while working with relevant stakeholders across the organization. This individual relies on their deep understanding of the target market/industry to collaborate with business domain partners and subject-matter experts to identify solutions, unlock digital assets, and solve complex problems.

The PM is part of the Omni team and has responsibility for leading and running an agile pod focused on one specific product or platform. The role interacts with their pod and relevant stakeholders to translate the vision into a delivery roadmap that considers organizational milestones, sequencing, capacity constraints, and dependencies. They identify, build, and manage strategic partnerships with other teams and groups in the organization to improve overall delivery effectiveness. They are responsible for the product backlog, including its content, availability, quality, and prioritization. They collaborate with the team to refine the backlog to ensure clarity. They actively engage with other teams to manage dependencies during the delivery process to reduce delays. They are responsible for identifying KPIs for the product and translating those into incremental goals via quarterly Objectives and Key Results. The OKRs include both leading and lagging indicators to provide end-to-end visibility into both the development work as well as its effectiveness in producing the desired outcomes.

This role has the ability to work in a hybrid environment, working remotley and in-office at our St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office. The in-office requirement is a minimum of twice a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team through the agile product development life-cycle
  • Lead product demonstrations at the end of each sprint (and ad hoc, when needed)
  • Engage with the team to maintain a refined product backlog of two to three sprints ahead of current development work
  • Act as the “voice of the customer to the team” to represent the desires of the business
  • Advocate for business stakeholders in providing timely insights that can inform other actions to drive growth and improvement
  • Reflect honestly on their own work and participate in team retrospectives to promote best practices and continuous improvement
  • Be accountable for product KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders
  • Provide high-quality, detailed input for planning events (quarterly, sprint)
  • Set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to the team and all relevant stakeholders
  • Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into a compelling product vision, quarterly OKRs, and a prioritized product backlog
Qualifications:
  • Product management with Agile and Scrum preferred
  • Relevant certification preferred (e.g., CSPO, PSPO I)
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of the business domain and industry trends
  • Awareness of relevant technology
  • Experimental mindset to drive innovation; empowers the team to fail, learn, and grow
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • Effective communicator across organizational levels and groups
  • Willing and able to “roll up the sleeves” and go outside your comfort zone to learn and innovate
  • Experienced in leading teams in an Agile setting (e.g., participating in Scrum events, creating and managing a backlog and release plan, understanding team metrics)
  • Empowered to make decisions (i.e., not an “order-taker”)
  • Dynamic problem-solver who can lead the exploration of solution possibilities; incorporate the wisdom of sponsors, subject-matter experts, and the team; and align on a clear direction
  • Strong leader, collaborator, and individual contributor
  • Ability to combine domain expertise with technology knowledge to envision solutions and then express that via a prioritized product backlog
