Product Development and purchaser for clothing and accessories for Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace's new fashion division.
Responsibilities
Managing developments and production through off shore and local factories and vendors.
Creating technical packs and specs, managing the approval process of all items in development.
Maintain timelines and WIP reports throughout all phases of development and production, both for vendors and in-house management.
Manage logistics of shipping both to fulfillment house and on site locations (rinks, pop ups, etc) and communicating with freight forwarders and warehouse, ensuring timely deliveries.
Work closely with owner/creative director, head of product creation, designers.
Liaison between company and production manager and directly to factories/suppliers.
Manage complete garment information (trims, fabrics, send-outs, etc).
Work with all aspects of garment suppliers: printers, embroiderers, pattern makers, marker makers, factories, etc).
Collecting all costing information, and final costing calculations.
Execute all sampling (either direct or thru production manager).
Organize and maintain purchase order entries for all fabrics and trims, allocate all fabrics and trims to production manager.
Follow up with vendors daily regarding current production and shipments, ensuring a timely delivery.
Create sample requests.
Responsible for checking/spec'ing all samples, proto's, production protos, etc, along with designer/director/owner, and providing notes/feedback to production manager.
Provide weekly reports to managers/supervisors (WIP reports).
Experienced with Apparel Magic and or comparable ERP, PLM systems.
Proficient with Excel.
Knowledgeable of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Work as liaison between designer, management, and production manager/factories.
Prepare packages/samples to be sent out.
Place orders for trims and fabric and track orders.
Fabric and garment testing.
Daily communication with production manager, and suppliers.
Tech packs creation, amendment, and management.
Track production, development, and delivery schedule.
Review lab dips, strike offs, fit/proto samples, pre-production samples, and production samples.
Accurate data entry and document maintenance.
Qualifications
5 years experience in same position.
Experience in the usual software (Word, Excel, inventory programs, and some illustrator and photoshop is a plus).
