Founding Product Designer Jobs

We’re looking for a Founding Product Designer to own all aspects of Product Design at our early-stage startup. We are an ambitious startup revolutionizing the B2B landscape with our SaaS platform. Much like Salesforce created the CRM vertical and Carta created the equity management vertical, we are creating a new category needed by all businesses worldwide. About the Team:

Our team brings decades of experience, hailing from Paypal, Ebay, Google, Affirm, WeWork, Etsy, Pandora, and Density. We are looking to bring on our 6th and final founding team member in this role. We are a remote-first company with our leadership team and this role based in San Francisco. You will have the option to collaborate in person, as well as a quarterly onsite with the whole team.

The Opportunity:

In this role, you will be one of the founding team members, reporting directly to the Co-founder/CTO. You will thrive in this role if you enjoy taking ownership of a product and working on the end-to-end design of a platform. This opportunity is an IC designer to start but has the potential to grow and lead Design as the company scales.

Responsibilities:

1. Conceptualize, design, and prototype new features and products based on customer feedback and business goals.
2. Deeply understand customers’ needs by conducting user research and interviews and translating these insights into design solutions.
3. Develop wireframes, mock-ups, user flows, and interactive prototypes to illustrate design ideas.
4. Work closely with our founding team and engineers to guide product development from concept to implementation.
5. Lead the creation and maintenance of our design system, design guidelines, best practices, and standards to ensure consistent brand language and user experience across all products.
6. Build a strong design culture and stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies.

Qualifications:

1. 5+ years in product design, preferably in a start-up environment.
2. A strong portfolio of case studies that demonstrate your design thinking, process and solutions, particularly in SaaS and marketplace products.
3. Deep expertise in UI/UX and visual design; fluency with design tools and methodologies.
4. Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate design decisions to stakeholders, team members, and customers.
5. Comfort with ambiguity and excited to be in a fast-faced, entrepreneurial environment.
