Pinterest is seeking a methodical and thoughtful Product Designer with a passion for crafting consistent, delightful, elegant, and intuitive experiences. You’ll work closely with the Closeup product team to evolve the core building blocks of the Pin consumption experience so Pinners can easily evaluate, refine, and take action on any idea.

You have a knack for visual details as much as holistic systems thinking. You’re a problem solver, and your designs reflect your ability to advocate for the user. You’re passionate about our mission, raising the quality bar, and making the basics great.

What You’ll Do

• Make selfless design decisions for the betterment of Pinterest
• Collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and research to develop impactful, user-centric, and data-informed solutions
• Work alongside engineers throughout the implementation and quality assurance phases
• Design products—systematically, interactively, visually—with pixel-level precision
• Uphold and inspire a high level of design execution across the team

What We’re Looking For

• Deep understanding of visual and interaction design principles—including color, elevation, icons, motion, shape, and typography
• Aptitude for incorporating qualitative and quantitative insights into the design and iteration process
• Collaborative team player with strong cross-functional partnership and stakeholder management skills
• High level of self-awareness and a growth mindset
• Ability to work within and extend a design system
• Solid communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and problem-solving approaches
• Portfolio showcasing outstanding design skills and product thinking—prototyping and experience working on video products are a plus
• Meticulous attention to detail and a sense of pride in putting high-quality products in the hands of users
• 4+ years of industry experience designing digital products
• Proven ability to take designs from execution to implementation in close partnership with engineering teams
