About the role

As a product designer, you’re responsible for working with senior designers and product managers to propose, design, and deliver outstanding customer experiences. Our mission is to make Zillow the most-loved place to discover, buy, sell, or rent a home.

You Will:

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers
• Participate in design activities like journey mapping, prototyping, and user testing
• Design digital experiences for web and mobile apps
• Deliver high-quality work on time and develop skills
• Learn about and advocate for customer needs throughout the design process
• Present design work and regularly engage with partners for feedback

• Contribute, learn, grow, and have fun
• Lead multiple projects with mentorship from design leaders
• Propose, ship, and test ideas that improve Zillow customer experiences

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $114,000.00 - $182,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York City and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• Experience managing small design projects with support from senior team members
• Experience participating in user research and discovery activities
• 3–5 years as a product designer, user experience designer, or similar role
• Experience working with diverse, cross-functional teams
• Experience using Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Experience designing digital experiences using human-centered design principles
• Examples of critical thinking, creativity, and idea generation in design projects
• Experience developing ideas that address customer and business problems
• Examples of high-quality interaction and visual design work in a design portfolio
