Literably is a fast-growing education technology company that provides early literacy assessment software. Using our product, K-12 students read out loud, generating data for reading instruction that would otherwise be collected manually. This saves teachers and administrators enormous amounts of time and offers the insights needed to drive critical intervention decisions for young readers. We currently serve over 600 schools, and among our customers are several of America's largest school districts, including Orange County Public Schools and Spokane Public Schools.
We are looking for an outstanding product designer to help us design Literably’s product for its various users including teachers, students and administrators. Upcoming projects that you would lead include redesigning our admin experience, scoping new assessment types, and working with developers and customers to gather requirements for graphical representations of student data. We believe people do their best work when they have autonomy and ownership. To achieve this, we are looking for the following:
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Expertise in working with design tools
- Ability to communicate designs effectively with developers remote position so we’re looking for someone who is self-manages and doesn't require significant direct involvement of others to move personal responsibilities forward
- Experience independently leading and key product design practices including, user research, concept development and sketching, visual design, prototyping and user testing
- Experience working at a startup environment that requires flexibility and the ability to wear different hats
Other nice to haves:
- Experience with the edtech products and conducting competitor analysis
- Familiarity with Figma
- Willingness to learn UI programming (Website builders, React, CSS, Typescript)
